Banquet Halls in London, Ontario: Sizes and What's Included
October 26, 2026 · 4 min read
A banquet hall is the workhorse of event venues. It's where wedding receptions, milestone birthdays, cultural celebrations, fundraisers and company dinners happen, and London has plenty of them. The hard part isn't finding one. It's working out which hall fits your guest count, and what you're actually getting for the rental.
This guide compares banquet halls listed on Eventlli in London, Ontario by size and by what comes with the room.
Start with three questions
- How many guests, seated? Halls quote capacity for a standing reception and for a seated dinner, and the seated number is always lower. Add room for a dance floor, a head table or a buffet line.
- Do you need their kitchen, or your own caterer? Some halls cook for you, some let you bring a caterer, and some do both. This one answer narrows your list faster than any other.
- What has to be included? Tables, chairs and linens, a sound system, AV for speeches or slides, accessibility, parking. Get it in writing.
Community and cultural halls
These are the classic London banquet halls: big rooms, flexible setups, and often a long history of weddings and community events.
Hellenic Community Centre — 50 to 900 guests
The Hellenic Community Centre on Southdale Road West has three banquet halls for 50 to 900 guests. Every rental includes a podium and PA system, linens and full wheelchair accessibility, which covers several things other halls charge extra for.
Good fit for: large weddings and cultural celebrations, and events where accessibility is a must.
London Ukrainian Centre — up to 400 guests
The London Ukrainian Centre on Adelaide Street South has two banquet halls: the Grand Hall seats up to 400 and Odesa Hall 150. Catering, décor and planning are available, so it can handle the whole event if you'd rather not hire separately.
Good fit for: corporate events, parties and celebrations where you want a choice of room size under one roof.
Brookside Banquet Centre — up to 400 guests
Brookside Banquet Centre has been operating near the Thames River for 62 years, with four halls, full AV and ample parking for anything from an intimate gathering to 400 guests. Listed pricing starts from $425.
Good fit for: weddings and milestone parties where you might need a smaller room now and a bigger one later.
A hall with food and drink built in
Bellamere Winery & Event Centre — up to 300 guests
Bellamere Winery & Event Centre on Gainsborough Road has hosted corporate events and holiday parties for more than 20 years. Kindred Hall seats up to 300 and The Winery 130, with on-site catering and a dance floor.
Good fit for: company parties and celebrations where you'd like the food, drinks and room handled by one team.
Hotel ballrooms
Hotels bring two things a standalone hall can't: rooms for guests staying the night, and in-house catering and AV as standard.
- DoubleTree by Hilton London on King Street has 18 meeting rooms and a Grand Ballroom for up to 850 seated or 1,000 at a reception, with in-house catering, AV and event planning.
- Delta Hotels London Armouries on Dundas Street is built into the historic armoury, with 13 event rooms. The Armouries Ballroom seats 200 for dinner or 300 for a reception.
- Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre on Wellington Road has more than 20,000 sq ft of event space across 16 rooms.
- Four Points by Sheraton London, also on Wellington Road, has a conference centre and banquet halls for corporate events, holiday parties and weddings.
Good fit for: weddings with lots of out-of-town guests, and corporate events that need breakout rooms.
The biggest rooms in town
100 Kellogg Lane has event spaces for 35 to 1,000 guests, from the Century Centre (up to 1,000) and The Club House (360) down to private rooms for a few dozen, with on-site dining, drinks and a Hard Rock Hotel.
Good fit for: galas and large corporate events, or any party that wants entertainment in the same building.
Comparing hall quotes
Turn every quote into the same thing: the total for your event, from setup to teardown.
- Room rental only: add catering, bar service, rentals and décor before you compare it with a hall that includes them.
- Per-person packages: check exactly what's in them, and what's charged on top (bar, cake cutting, service charges, taxes).
- Minimum spend: many halls set one for Saturdays. A Friday or Sunday can bring it down, or open up a bigger room.
Questions to ask before you book
- What's the seated capacity with a dance floor and head table?
- What's included: tables, chairs, linens, sound system, AV, staff, cleaning?
- Can we bring our own caterer, bar service and décor? Are there fees?
- When can our vendors get in to set up, and when do we have to be out?
- What's the deposit, and what happens to it if our date moves?
- Is the hall fully accessible, and where do guests park?
